Manual Configuration
Manual Fork setup opens Role Permissions in the dashboard. Select the intended guild and save a valid configuration. Opening the page alone does not complete onboarding.
Configure the relevant layer
Section titled “Configure the relevant layer”- Command access: Role Permissions.
- Conversation participation: AI Channels.
- AI capabilities: AI Tools.
- Server knowledge: Knowledge and FAQ.
- Structural changes: Server Manager draft/review workflow.
These controls are not interchangeable. A command allow rule does not grant native Discord permissions or create a private channel overwrite.
Review edited drafts
Section titled “Review edited drafts”When revising a Server Manager plan, read the new operations and permission changes. A previous approval must not silently approve a different revision. Cancel an incorrect plan rather than applying it as an experiment.
Discord’s own native server settings remain a separate interface. If you change roles there, refresh Fork’s context and recheck permissions before applying an older plan. See Permission Boundaries.
