Setting Up AI
Conversation settings and tool authorization are separate. Start narrowly, verify the saved state, then expand only if needed.
A safe first configuration
Section titled “A safe first configuration”- Finish initial setup.
- Select a help channel in the dashboard’s AI Channels area.
- Start with Triggered mode and a deliberate cooldown.
- Save, then mention Fork or reply to its message in that channel.
- Review AI-tool access separately before allowing consequential actions.
The chat toggle command toggles the current channel. Repeating it reverses the state; read the response before repeating.
What you do not need to provide
Section titled “What you do not need to provide”Members should not paste provider API keys into chat. Provider selection and credentials belong to the operator. A user can change their thinking preference, but cannot use it to provision a missing provider or bypass metering.
AI may answer incorrectly or decline a tool operation. Wait for an actual result record rather than treating conversational agreement as proof. See AI channels, tools and AI problems.
