Warnings and Timeouts
A warning records a reason and updates the active-warning count. A timeout changes the member’s Discord communication state. These are different effects.
Record a warning
Section titled “Record a warning”/mod warn user:@Alex reason:Repeated off-topic messagesFork records the warning and attempts a target notification. A blocked DM does not undo a stored warning. Use mod logs to inspect history.
Revoke a warning
Section titled “Revoke a warning”Mod unwarn accepts an optional warning ID. Omit it to clear the most recent active warning, not every warning. A missing/already-cleared match is reported as no change.
Apply a timeout
Section titled “Apply a timeout”/mod mute user:@Alex duration:10m reason:Repeated disruptionThe default duration is 10 minutes; parsed duration is capped at 28 days. It is a Discord timeout, not a voice-only mute or custom role. Mod unmute removes an active timeout and reports when none exists.
For all mutations, review native permission, hierarchy and actual outcome before retrying. These examples use illustrative member mentions; select the intended real member in Discord.
