AI Channels

AI Channels controls where Fork participates. It is independent of role authorization for actions requested through AI.

Enable one channel

  1. Select the intended server in the dashboard.
  2. Open AI Channels and identify the correct channel.
  3. Choose response mode and cooldown.
  4. Save and verify a mention/reply interaction.

The Discord chat toggle path requires Manage Channels and toggles the current channel. Its result states whether AI is now enabled or disabled. Repeating it without reading the result can turn it off again.

Context and clearing

Chat clear requires Manage Messages and clears the channel’s AI conversation context. It does not delete Discord messages or all members’ personal memory.

Keep participation understandable

Section titled “Keep participation understandable”

Tell members which channels use AI. Use non-sensitive server knowledge. If Fork stays quiet, check mode, cooldown, channel access and provider availability before sending repeated prompts. The homepage’s AI panels are disconnected examples and do not show your server settings.
